A Relationship with God

We believe that the greatest privilege of life is to have a personal relationship with God.  this is the good news of the gospel.

However, we must first deal with the bad news of our sin.  “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  Sin is any thought, word, or action contrary to God’s will.  “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).  This includes physical death and spiritual death – eternal judgment in hell.

Once we understand the bad news of our sin, then we are ready for the good news.  God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior.  Jesus paid the penalty for sin when He died on the cross.  “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Three days after the cross, Jesus Christ rose from the dead!  That proves His victory over sin.  All those who put their sincere trust in Him are forgiven and saved from judgment.  “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

When we put our trust in Christ, He starts to change us from the inside out.  We learn to live for Him, not ourselves.  “And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again” (2 Corinthians 5:15).

Are you ready to begin this new relationship with God through Christ?  Then talk to God in prayer.  Commit yourself to Him in faith.  “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
